Mental Health Support

The Mental Health Support ministry is a joint effort of three South Whidbey churches: St. Hubert Catholic, Trinity Lutheran, Langley United Methodist, and St. Augustine Episcopal. Together they provide information and support to the community regarding mental health issues.

One of their annual projects is collecting Bibles and Christmas gifts for residents of Western State Hospital.

The second forum organized by the Interfaith Committee, It Takes A Village, was held in September 2019. It addressed many mental health issues by speakers from several organizations and Island County agencies. Meetings were held monthly before the covid-19 restrictions. For information about future meetings, contact the St. Hubert Counseling Office at 360.221.0746.

Another Mental Health Support ministry is St. Hubert Counseling Services.

We have all found ourselves at a point in our lives when we needed help coping. It may be relationship problems; death or illness of a loved one; difficulties with children; or feeling sad, anxious, or depressed. Professional counseling can provide the support and help needed to get to a place of mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Alice Thull, LICSW, a licensed, experienced, and caring mental health professional, is now available by appointment at St. Hubert. Please call 360.221.0746 for more information or to schedule your first visit. Sliding scale fees are available.

The Mental Health Support ministry works closely with the Bereavement ministry and Pastoral Outreach to provide compassionate support.
