Estate Planning & Planned Giving

What is Estate Planning?

Estate planning ensures your wishes are honored with regards to who will receive your assets. Those assets include, but are not limited to, financial accounts, stocks, life insurance, personal property, and real estate. An estate plan is compromised of one or more documents such as a will, a trust, and beneficiary designation forms.

What is Planned Giving?

Planned giving is a fundraising term, also known as gift planning or legacy giving. A planned gift is a contribution that is arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. Commonly donated through a will or trust, planned gifts are most often granted once the donor has passed away.
