St. Hubert Ministries

Our beautiful Catholic Church, here on South Whidbey Island, has so many ministries, literally something for everyone. As we highlight some of these ministries, we will focus this week on the Evangelization Committee.

This group endeavors to help parishioners become joyful disciples of Jesus Christ bearing the light of His truth, goodness and beauty to our community and beyond. Our specific goals enable us to share with others our Catholic faith, scripture and personal encounters with the Lord.

With a passion for our faith, our Evangelization Committee has prepared general information to share at the Tilth Sunday farmers market starting the first weekend in July. The purpose is to inform people about who we are, our beliefs, traditions and teachings. This is an opportunity to truly spread the word of God and the teachings of the Catholic church. Thank you Evangelization Committee for sharing your vision! What a beautiful, beautiful gift they are sharing.

For more information about the Evangelization Committee please contact John Scehovic at 360-221-6093.

Green Team

We are part of this beautiful created world that we have been commanded by God to care for. Join an interesting group of parishioners who look for ways to increase our awareness of how we can be ever better stewards of creation. Caring for our common home is one theme of Catholic Social Teaching.

Funeral Reception Ministry

The Funeral Reception Ministry helps families by offering a reception as a place for family and friends to gather for fellowship; to share, reminisce and remember the life of their loved one and their happy times together. At this time, we need ladies (or men) to partake in the planning of the reception following the funeral Mass.

Coffee Hour/Hospitality & Fellowship

The purpose of our Coffee Hour is to build community by providing an opportunity for parishioners and guests to meet socially after mass. The Coffee Hour hosts ensure that coffee, beverages and treats are prepared and items are cleaned up after each Sunday mass. Individuals and parish ministries commit to hosting Sunday coffee hours.
