Lent Book Discussion Group

EverybodyNeedsToForgiveSomeone

Due to the success of our previous book discussion groups, the Evangelization Council is setting up Lenten discussion groups.  Since Lent is a penitential season, the book selected is ‘Everybody Needs to Forgive Somebody‘ by Allen Hunt of Dynamic Catholic.  As with previous groups, there will be 3 separate meeting times:  one on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 AM, one on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM, and one on Wednesdays at Noon.  The first of these weekly meetings will be held on Tuesday, March 7th and Wednesday, March 8th.  All the meetings will be held in classroom 11.

There are 12 chapters in this book, so each meeting will cover 2 chapters.  The books will be available by Ash Wednesday, March 1st, so you will have adequate time to prepare for the first meeting.  As with the previous groups, these will be casual, low-key, discussion sessions.  Everyone will have opportunity to express their views if they so desire, but no one will be called on directly.  This is not a class and there will be no tests :-).

If you are interested in joining one of these groups, please fill out your name and contact information, and which group you want to participate in, on one of the signup sheets located on the table in the narthex.  Then just drop it in the Book Group basket.  The cutoff for signing up is Tuesday, February 28th, the day before Ash Wednesday.

If you are interested in joining one of the groups, please call the office at (360)221-5383 or contact John Scehovic.

We are limiting the size of each group to 12 members so that everyone can participate fully in the discussions, so don’t delay in signing up.  Accommodations will be made if more than 12 sign-ups for any one group.  Also please note that even though you sign up for one particular session you can attend either of the others if scheduling conflicts occur.

Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to learn new ways to forgive and to see how forgiveness can dramatically change your life for the better.  We look forward to your participation.
